BNP hopeful for talks over EC issue
Although the government did not pay heed on the call of BNP over the formation of new Election Commission, BNP hoped the government will finally will sit with them and discuss.
We hope, the Prime Minister will arrange talks over holding the next general poll under a neutral EC,” said BNP vice chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu.
The BNP leader made the statement while addressing a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters on Sunday afternoon.
He said, “We didn’t lose our hope as we’re in favour of democracy. It’s our expectation that the Premier Sheikh Hasina engage in discussions.”
We want to mention that there is no alternative of discussion to solve any problem, he added.
